At Lunchbox Entertainment, a startup driven by a tight-knit team of passionate developers, we embraced the challenge of creating a new MOBA game. How could we stand out against giants like League of Legends, Dota, and others dominating the market? Many players shy away from these games due to their steep learning curves.
For Sirocco, it was an exciting challenge to make competitive gaming fun and accessible again. High competition often breeds toxic communities, and tackling that issue head-on was part of the adventure.
Over the past two years, I spearheaded the UX/UI direction, working directly with the founders to meet milestone goals and delivery deadlines. Crafting the entire game UX/UI was a complex challenge, demanding strategic planning with our small team especially when all of us are working remotely. Weekly engineer meetings were concise and sharply focused, ensuring design and feasibility alignment. The game was set for an Early Access launch with all core features playable, inviting the community to co-create with us.
